Vogue published their unranked 55 best dressed of 2025 at the end of the year, highlighting red carpet looks and other special appearances.. I was happy to see some of my favorite petite gals make the list and wanted show to explore more of their looks, both on and off the red carpet.
As a petite gal myself, I know how frustrating it can be to find clothes that fit well when most brands construct pieces for longer limbed individuals. I started to solidify my personal style by first looking at other petite queens whom I admired for their style and taking notes. I also did a personal analysis on my own closet and existing pieces - no need to toss your current wardrobe yet - to help me better understand my goals and intentions:
What pieces do I wear over and over again? Why? Which outfit combos do I feel best in? Which fabrics and cuts are conducive to my performance and day-to-day function?
Knowing what feels good on your body in terms of comfort and being able to make informed decisions on which silhouette's will highlight the parts that deserve to be flaunted is an empowering journey. Be curious! Be explorative! You may be surprised what you discover about yourself along the way.
Considerations for a personal style analysis:
Skin sensitivities to certain fabrics and materials
Body composition and shape
Practical needs, mobility for work and general lifestyle
Environment, let's make sure we're staying warm in winters and cool in summers!
no more crop tops in November
keep that belly warm
principle tenet in traditional Chinese medicine
Self expression! Of course!
OK, all that being said let's check out more looks from some of the petite queens who made Vogue's Best Dressed 2025.
Myha'la

If you've been watching HBO's hit show, Industry, you'll recognize this babe and her stone cold mug (servinggggg fAce!). She also has the most warming smile and seems like a genuine sweetheart. Myha'la's character in the show, Harper Stern, is a complete power house and force to be reckoned with, although I wouldn't want to be in her line of fire. Styled by Colleen Morris-Glennon for seasons 1 & 2, and Laura K. Smith for seasons 3 & 4, you can see how the evolution in characters' wardrobes reflect their rising net worth and power as the show progresses.
Costume design aside, Myha'la's personal style and runway looks are killer. The first photo is from her appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2024, preceding the season 3 premiere of Industry. She looks classy but still playful in a white tank top by Omi which was styled as a minidress. The racerback neckline is very complimentary, accentuating her neck and shoulders in an elegant manner. The look was paired with black sheer tights and white satin pumps with sparkling accents on the heel. Her hair and jewelry are perfectly in line with the look and honestly I'll probably be sporting a similar look this spring.
The second photo is Myha'la for the Met Gala afterparties head to toe in Luar and custom Luar x Timberland thigh high heels. Styled by Paris Michael Perry and Kyle Luu for both the Met Gala and afterparty events, Myha'la was definitely turning heads in Manhattan that weekend. The black sheer minidress falls elegantly off shoulder and is ruched on the opposite arm to create visual interest. I'd guess the fabric is either cotton or linen blend sheer, with exposed vertical stripes which elongate her figure. Her bag is the Luar Small Ana in Smooth Brown Leather and ties in with the signature brown leather padded collar of Timberland boots. Her team slayed, this look continues to live rent free in my mind 😅.
Look three is our star arriving at a Chanel Women's Filmmaker luncheon in Tribeca. She's seen stepping out of the car looking edgy and classy, in biker shorts and a modern black zippered tweed Chanel jacket with an embossed word mark over the pockets. Underneath is a black top with a jeweled Chanel monogram peeking out of the open jacket. The shoes are black pumps with a pearl heel and she's wearing the Chanel classic black wallet on a chain. Similar to our first look, Myha'la and her team have done a great job of pairing playful, sporty, elegant and expensive for this appearance. It codes well to her character as well as her personality and she looks happy to be there!
Now. Let's talk about this. Myha'la, Law Roach, Miu Miu... glamourous. She's dressed here for a screening of the Industry season 4 premiere in NYC. A Vogue interview talks more about the inspiration behind the look and gives us a lovely photo diary from the fitting room. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't know how I felt about this look upon first glance. But I think that's exactly what her team wanted. The black leather apron style Miu Miu dress is inspired by their spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, and is a silhouette I've been seeing more of lately, Calvin Klein had similar apron dresses for their spring 2026 runway show as well. Styled by Law Roach and Paris Perry, the look demands attention. It's unconventional. Modest but also revealing. Masculine and feminine. It's really cool, different and I'll be keeping my eye out for more collaborations between the actor and stylist.
Doechii

Doechii has been experiencing a lot of hype in the past years that is well deserved and overdue. Alligator Bites Never Heal was and continues to be the most refreshing thing in rap music I've heard in years. Her authenticity to self, dedication to study, and natural gifts and talent are a sigh of relief - finally something to cut through all the noise (literally, just noise) of the past decade in rap.
Her stylist, Sam Woolf, understands all of these things about Doechii and they work fantastic as a team to communicate her artistic expression through fashion. The first image was snapped during Paris Fashion week 2025 where Doechii was named "Best Dressed" (!). The look is absolutely baller and the way she struts it... oh girl she delivered. A neutral deconstructed business casual outfit with the most dainty Valentino heels, floppy oversized hat and biggg hoop earrings. It's giving Lauryn Hill, it's giving boss, it's giving queen and Doechii has definitely earned all of those attributions.
The second shot is Doechii otw to the Super Bowl LIX. Styled by Woolf as well, the two piece bomber jacket&underwear Miu Miu set is totally on brand for our rap star. The Miu Miu sneaker and white sock combo aligns with Doechii's other preppy looks and is perfectly appropriate for a sporting event. I absolutely love this outfit, the wooden beads in her braids and the sharp, square sunglasses add to the polished execution.
Third pic is off-duty, pap snapped otw to an LA dance studio. The low slung, cropped sweats with an exposed thong is straight up sexy. The leg warmers over kitten heels is an ode to her preppy chic style identity and it's working. I love these types of casual but luxury layered looks, it's comfortable but with a few select accessory choices it completely elevates the outfit. It's giving, y'all ain't ever gonna catch me slipping fr.
I was in the audience for Doechii's 2024 Camp Flog Gnaw performance. You can actually see me in this photo! I'm also lying. Lawddd I GASPED when I saw her. Which was delayed about 15 seconds from when she came out on stage - I told y'all I'm short, I had to get up on my tippy toes to catch a glimpse. Again, signature Doechii: the Miu Miu underwear two piece, the pointed heels with knee high socks, the face tape (which she addressed why she wears it for those who may be wondering). The color scheme is perfect for Tyler's camp-themed music festival. Doechii, Sam Woolf, and Miu Miu crushed it with this look and I know she was feeling comfortable and confident based on the delivery of her performance that day.
Greta Lee

Slay. Greta Lee, who you may know from Russian Doll, The Morning Show, or Past Lives (2023), is seen above at the 2023 Loewe fall show in Paris. Jonathan Anderson, now at Dior, created this whimsical, celebratory look for Greta which she had an absolute blast in. An interview with Harper's Bazaar reveals that the shoes left bits of sparkles everywhere she stepped. Anderson has a particular skill for incorporating playful notes into his pieces and there's no denying his finesse at constructing a garment. This gown is no exception; the sleeves gather and fall into the side pockets effortlessly. The drape and flare of the fabric is parted perfectly to allow proper mobility in the pom pom shoes. The faux fur collar, not attached to the garment, is just cool and adds visual balance to the silhouette. Anderson and Lee have a history of working together, the actress is now an ambassador at Dior and is frequently cited as being a muse to Anderson.
The second fit is casual but still killer. Strutting through the airport in a striped button down top from Jonathan Anderson's debut menswear collection for Dior, high-rise boot cut jeans from Toteme and what seem to be either moto boots or just a classic heeled bootie. The cotton and calfskin book tote from Dior is a great contrasting accessory and the perfect travel companion.
Third look doesn't come with much context, but I absolutely love the full coverage, ankle length trench coat and black top and scarf. This is the type of look that would make me feel like a super villain, but paired with that sweet smile it's completely chic, classy, and on brand for Greta.
STUNNER! The confidence. The leg. The side boob. Serving face. Lethal. Jonathan Anderson, once again, nails this look for Greta at the 2025 Venice Film Festival. The sheer evergreen top portion looks silky on her skin and the low cut shawl lapel is perfectly feminine. The puffy sleeve backing is cut and draped to build drama and volume without overwhelming the silhouette. It remains proportional, accentuating her features (I see you waist!!) and delivering the simple but elegant style that is on par with what we expect from this diva.
Zoë Kravitz

Zoë Kravitz has such an effortlessly cool style that I've always admired. She is currently working with stylist Danielle Goldberg who dressed her in the first image for the Paris Premiere of Caught Stealing (2025). She looks clean, polished, innocent and sexy all at the same time in the golden hued lace-hemmed Saint Laurent slip dress. The strappy heel and updo contribute to the overall laid back but put-together vibe of the look. Goldberg understands that less is more and simplicity can be elegant. Her approach to dressing Zoë builds on top of the iconic personal style that Zoë is known for: cool, clean, casual but edgy, and always relaxed.
This next look is great for late summer or early fall. At first glance the pants look like denim but they're actually some sort of linen or silk, which pair better with the equally breezy long sleeve button down. Her yellow slingback heels are adorable and she's got bright yellow nails to match. I personally love the brown-blue-yellow color scheme. Swap the pants out for a silk skirt or slip dress underneath and you've got a classy look for a night out.
Look three is quintessential Zoë Kravitz. Boho, tomboyish, but still feminine and ethereal with the lace trim dress and choice of accessories. She looks so comfortable and well equipped for a hot summer day in NYC. Two bags is genius; I imagine the smaller basket crossbody holds essentials (wallet, keys, lip gloss) whereas the tote holds space for activities (sketchbook, novel, shopping items). The Gucci loafers look so good outside of a business-casual outfit pairing. That's probably the epitome of the spunk of Zoë's looks, combining pieces that don't seem like they fit under the same dress code yet look effortlessly perfect on her. God this outfit makes me excited for summer.
I love this look for summer too. You can always tell with Zoë's outfits that she dresses for comfort and practicality but does not miss the mark on looking fabulous. Cotton ribbed tank top with an exposed hem to show a little tummy and break up the space between the heavier, ankle length satin slip skirt. You can see a blue bow in her hair peeking out, a classic feminine touch. Mini Telfar tote bag in a gorgeous green. And as always the accessories are tasteful - chain drop choker necklace, lots of delicate and dainty rings and earrings, and Oliver People's x The Row cool girl sunglasses. Zoë is an absolute style icon and one of the first fashion role models that I looked at when composing my wardrobe.

All of these women are gorgeous, stylish, unique and talented. They have amazing teams of designers and stylists who have helped them curate their personal style, but they also have immense pressure to appear presentable, personable, and deliver what the media and their spectators expect of them. I can imagine that it's very fatiguing to be greeted by a clan of at most every outing. I idolize and respect all that these women have accomplished, but at the end of the day they are humans who are not spared from the universal experiences of life. At the same time that we can have compassion for those that are in the spotlight, we should also not exempt them from the basic human societal contracts; to be kind, to not take more than we need, to give back, to understand that there is no separation: we are all divinely interconnected and our actions have an affect far grander than we may assume.
That's not the point of the article, but hard not to touch on ethics and compassion in times of such division. I hope you've enjoyed this little tour of stellar looks from some petite queens, and that you are inspired to be curious about your personal style. Know yourself! Love yourself! Love Builds!
